Reserving a Quillet Kid

We are going to be trying out a new process for reserving Mini Nubian goat kids here at the Quillet in the spring of 2023. We will post our breeding plan as soon as we have it available in the fall. We will accept reservations for doe or buck kids from a particular pairing with a $50 non-refundable deposit (subject to the caveat below).

Once kids are on the ground and your reservation comes up (first choice, second choice, etc.), we will contact you to select your kid, and we will ask for 50% of the asking price once a kid has been identified. The remaining 50% of the purchase price will be due upon pick up of your kid. Pickup time and date will be arranged by mutual agreement. Delayed pickup may result in boarding fees or, in extreme cases forfeiture, of your deposits.

If the pairing you’ve selected does not produce an available kid of the desired sex, you may transfer your deposit to another pairing (subject to availability) or a future kidding season, or your initial deposit will be refunded at that time.

If the pairing does produce a kid of the desired sex and you decide not to move forward for personal reasons, or due to physical features (i.e. moonspots, blue eyes, polled, etc.), your $50 deposit will be forfeited. However, so long as you communicate this choice promptly when we contact you after kids are born, you will still be eligible to purchase future kids from us (no hard feelings). No response or failure to communicate may make you ineligible to purchase from us going forward.

Cherrywell Quillet reserves the first option to retain any animal born on our property.

Due to biosecurity concerns, we will not accept returns of any animal that has left our property. However, we always want the best for our goats, so if you need to rehome your animal, please contact us first and we will consider purchasing back or assisting you with identifying a new home for your animal.
